Cameras capture reckless lorry driver on Forth Bridge

Amazing footage has been released of a truck driver risking his life – and that of other motorists – on the Forth Road Bridge by ignoring warnings for high-sided vehicles to stay off the crossing during recent storms.

The film, which was posted online by the Forth Road Bridge company, was captured from surveillance cameras on the bridge’s south tower on Wednesday 28th December.

Bridge managers said: “The driver of this truck ignored signs stating that the Forth Road Bridge was closed to all vehicles except cars due to high winds.  This clip shows why restrictions during high winds are necessary!”
