Please give blood - donate in Rosyth on 1st June
18 MayThe session is being held from 2pm-4pm, and from 5pm-7pm, and all adults are asked to donate and support the service.
Your help is needed more than ever - total donations in Scotland fell last year by more than 10%, so it is essential that as many adults as possible make time to give blood. It might be your own life that you save.
Alison Maung from the Scottish Blood Transfusion Service said: "Only five per cent of people in Scotland are blood donors and we really hope the people of Rosyth can help us boost this figure. We have a constant, urgent need for blood to help us achieve the 1000 units required on a daily basis."
And more people can now give blood, as from the start of this year, if you are over 70 and have given a full donation within the past two years - you can continue to give blood! A change to donor criteria means the upper age limit no longer applies.
