Police seize drugs in cannabis raid on Rosyth house
15 DecemberPolice in Rosyth have seized thousands of pounds worth of drugs after they uncovered a cannabis plantation in an address at McGrigor Road.
Drugs worth almost £2400 were seized after officers responded to information from the public. Cannabis plants were seized, along with equipment used in the cultivation of these plants.
A 37-year-old local man has been charged with offences under the Misuse of drugs Act and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal, Dunfermline.
Community Constable Kelly Bellingham who led the search, said: "We searched an address after receiving information from the public. We regularly receive such information, and I thank the local community for their assistance."
Rosyth Community Sergeant Tony Rogers, added; "This is the third similar search that Rosyth Community Team have carried out in recent weeks owing to the vigilance of the public. The message is quite clear: If you have drugs in your house, we could be the next visitor who comes knocking at your door."
